Meeting with representatives from the Adani Group, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed the company’s plans for growth and investment in Telangana at a meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday (3rd Jan’24). The minister of IT and industry, D. Sridhar Babu, was also present at the meeting.

Group head Karan Adani, the elder son of Gautam Adani, and Adani Defence and Aerospace CEO Asish Rajvansh met with the chief minister to talk business.

A ed for Telangana were among the subjects discussed. Officials from the Adani Group have said that the company will keep working on its existing projects and seek government funding to start new ones. They said the company was ready to start new industries and create jobs.

To spur industrial growth, increase job opportunities, and satisfy the Adani Group’s interest in increasing investment in Telangana, the state’s chief minister assured the delegation that the state would provide the necessary infrastructure, services, and subsidies to new businesses.

The Chief Minister met with representatives from the automotive and industrial battery manufacturer Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (ARE&M) on the same day. ARE&M focuses on transportation and energy storage.

A Giga corridor at Mahbubnagar’s New Energy Park and Shamshabad’s E-Positive Energy Labs were considered by the ARE&M delegation, with a capital expenditure of 9,500 crore. Approximately 4,500 new employment would be created as a result of the corridor being one of the nation’s largest manufacturing sites for lithium-ion batteries.

The sophisticated chemical cell mega plant, pack assembly, and research and development centre were to be operational with the support of the funds pledged by Revanth Reddy, who said that Amara Raja played a significant role in Telangana’s success story.

The chief secretary, secretary of information technology and industries, principal secretary of the capital market, secretary Shanawaz Qasim, special secretary of the capital market Ajith Reddy, and special secretary of investment promotion E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy were among the government officials who attended the discussions.

After speaking with the Chief Minister, the Adani Group team assured him the company’s ongoing projects in Telangana would continue unabated. Rumour has it that the Gautam Adani Group plans to increase the number of people working in the state by introducing new projects.
